Went through the letter from THFC with the new rules.  A long discussion about the changes in staying an official supporters club.  Main issues include:  having to live within 25 miles of Head Office, tickets to be collected on match day, no Cat A games to apply for, up to 50 tickets for Cat B games, no max on Cat C games, must be a minimum of 10 tickets for Cat B and C games, no more individual presentations for POTY, THFC can change rules at any time etc etc.

Brought up a huge question and answer session between members which information includes:  some other Official Supporters Clubs intend to resign, some intend to carry on and accept changes for another season.  Spot checks on our Club showed that 4 people didn’t not attend Man Utd match, and there were forty people non-attending overall throughout other supporters clubs.  Norwegian supporters club may go ‘unofficial’ (around 3,000 members).

Grades of game are now on the THFC internet site.  There is now a booking fee which wasn’t present before.  Mini season tickets can be purchased via THFC, this could be an option.

Accounts of the supporters club can be requested at any time by THFC, as can minutes of any meeting.

Ray to write a letter to THFC querying the new set of rules, following on from this meeting.  Vast majority feel that the new rules do not benefit the supporters club and would be happy to go ‘unofficial’.

The website has been re-vamped and is looking brilliant.  Many thanks to Martin Brake.  Martin is looking for photos to put on there.

Two people expressed an interest to attend the Eastbourne Supporters meeting to see what they are up to, re the new rules.

A list was drawn up of people who are interested in obtaining a mini season ticket (attached).

Ray to look into costings of going unofficial to see if membership fees are to be adjusted.

The new rules of THFC are to be posted on the website for all those to see who could not make the meeting, as will be these minutes.

The new Committee was formed:  Ray Gordon as Chairperson, Sarah Saunders as Treasurer/Secretary, Roger Nickson as Events Manager, Alan Richmond, Stuart Baker and Trevor Laker are all Committee Members.

Player of the Season awards – Robbie Keane with Steed and Jenas runners up.  Young Player of the Season – Jamie O’Hara with Huddlestone as runner up.  Keane’s home league goal against Chelsea was Goal of the Season, with Woodgate’s header in the Cup Final as runner up.

Date of next meeting – Thursday 24th July 2008 at 7.45pm
